TREE HOUSE

It is an original and powerful example of a home that establishes a keen dialogue with the sun, sky, earth and larger Aravali landscape.

K PAVILION

This project is a garden pavilion with a timeless appeal. It exemplifies a strategy of under-building to allow the landscape to remain the focus of the home.

C FARM

This home breaks the mould of a ‘Contemporary Indian Home’ and is an ode to repose and balance from the over-stimulation of the city. It brings back a focus on subtlety and quietude, reinterprets archetypal Indian forms, and reinforces the beauty and relevance of Indian motifs.

It also celebrates the unfinished edge: through exposed concrete ceilings, the fluid forms of cast concrete columns, multi-hued slate, mud-coloured textured grit, and metal pergolas. This diversity of materials combined with the softness of the palette creates a home where dramatic elements emerge from an understated façade and allow opportunities for the eye to dwell and linger.

GENESIS OFFICE

Less is more. This design involved transforming a pre-existing office interior into a pared-down contemporary workplace to serve the needs of a small finance company. Cognizant of the fact that it was a rented space, we proceeded to dramatically modify the spatial experience and functionality while reusing glass and wall partitions to minimize waste.

A controlled color palette of ivory, oak, grey, and black and a material palette of cork, oak, raw pressed board and wood imbue the interior with an almost meditative quality and fluid seamlessness. Sparks of vitality emerge in the form of copper accents of bamboo and monstera leaves that draw inspiration from Nature.

The vision for this interior is innovative materiality, maintenance-free finishes to avoid recurring resource consumption, and a timeless aesthetic to create a space that emanates warmth and ease while establishing an unforgettable presence.

CIVIL LINES

This home surprises with the unexpected spaces that emerge when a 70-year-old colonial home is reimagined for contemporary living. A warren of disconnected badly lit spaces is transformed into a light-filled energized abode by stripping away inessentials and revealing the beauty and volumes of the old structure. The addition of a more transparent ‘skin’ that projects into the landscaped garden create a permeable transition to the outdoors and lush treescape. It serves as an example of a home that deftly fuses the past and future in a contemporary language that is respectful of history.
